My Services
College Choices or Choice Lectures
Work with an educator with extensive experience
My clients have received offers of admission to the most selective colleges and universities in the US and abroad. I am an independent educational consultant, with extensive teaching experience in high school, college, and lifelong learning. I worked at UNC-Chapel Hill for 10 years, where I was in charge of counselor relations and all international applicants. Then I worked for 11 years in NYC, mostly at the UN International School. My basic fee is for a 2-hour consultation and a follow-up session analyzing the student’s essay. Additional hours are charged separately. Most students need only a couple of hours‘ assistance. Please contact me to discuss fees.
I have led sessions at college counseling conferences and have published in the field.
Choice Lectures on a variety of subjects
As an accomplished public speaker, I have provided entertaining and informative talks on many topics. Each one is accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation, is about an hour in length - perfect for Zooming sessions.
Of course, I address the topic of:
How to Get Admitted to College, but there are other areas in which I have expertise:
My most popular lectures are:
Jennie Jerome Churchill
American Women in 19th Century England
American Women on the British Stage
The Dreyfus Affair & French History
Adeline Oppenheim Guimard

More about college counseling
LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT I DO
The part of my work I enjoy most is meeting with students; working with individuals is at the heart of my counseling practice.
“Rankings” are unreliable.
The college process, while challenging, is actually very manageable IF approached in an organized and informed fashion.
I help students map out a rational plan.
